(An Inter-College Commerce Annual Fest)
The Commerce Association of PGDAV College (E), under
the supervision of Convener Dr. Ramesh Kumar, organized a two days commerce
fest “COMMANTRA 3.0’’ on 8th and 9th February 2019, in
which multiple Commerce, Business, Management, Sports, knowledge, General
Awareness, Suspense and Entertainment oriented events took place.
On
the first day, the very first event was Gully Cricket (Volley ball ground,
10:30 am) and the team of PGDAV (E) College and that of PGDAV (M) College won
the 1st and 2nd prize respectively.
The
second event was Business Quiz or QUIZARDO (seminar hall and auditorium, 11:00
am) and the team of students from IGNOU and Ramanujan College won the 1st
prize and PGDAV (E) College team won the 2nd prize.
Business
Plan or The Next Big Thing (seminar hall, 12:30pm) was the third event, won by
the team of girls from Gargi College. While, the team of girls from PGDAV (E)
and LSR College was the 1st runner-up
Ludo or Beat the Squad (noon
college ground, 1:00 pm) was the forth event, won by the team of students from
PGDAV (E) College.
Simultaneously, Inauguration ceremony with the lightening of
the lamp took place and chief guests Mr. Deepak Malpani (CMA, Vise- chairman
Faridabad chapter, faculty member of ICAI and ICMA) and his wife CMA Meenakshi
Malpani were honored with a symbol of Om by Principal Dr. RK Gupta.
Mr. Malpani addressed the
young minds with his diligent and prudent words that emphasized on the
importance of reading, fearlessness for failure and success.
The last event of the first
day was Ad- Mad (auditorium, 2:00 pm) and the team of Pearl Academy won the 1st
prize where the team of students from SBSC College and Aurobindo College won
the 2nd prize.
Followed
by the second day, Bollywood Trivia (Auditorium, 11:30am) was the 6th
event and teams of Shri Venkateshwara College and PGDAV (E) College won the 1st
and 2nd prize respectively.
Budgeting
or Budget-Bidding (seminar hall, 12:30pm) was the 7th event and both
the 1st and 2nd prizes were won by the students from
PGDAV (E) College.
Commbola
1.0 (seminar hall, 1:00 pm) was the 8th event and the team from
Dayal Singh College won the first prize. Where, the team of students from PGDAV
(M) and PGDAV (E) College secured the 2nd position.
The
last event was Mock CID or clues to culprit (college premises, 2:00 pm) and the
team of Motilal (E) College and PGDAV (E) College secured the 1st
and 2nd prize respectively. In the winding up ceremony, prizes,
containing cash and certificates were distributed to the winners by the
Principal Dr. RK Gupta, Convener of Commerce Association Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Bursar
Dr. Amit Kumar, HOD Dr. Anita Bajaj and other faculty members.
Dr.
Gupta denoted the historic success of commantra as a synergical effect of team
work and good management and Dr. Ramesh indicated it as the result of hard work
of the whole commerce association and other stakeholders involved.
By the end, Dr. Ramesh Kumar
concluded the whole event with a vote of thanks to all.
