COMMANTRA'21
(An Annual Inter College Commerce Fest)
The Commerce Association, Department of Commerce, P.G.D.A.V. College (Eve), under the supervision of convener Dr. Palvinder Kaur Bakshi organised the annual Commerce fest, Commantra'21, on March 5th, 2021.
This year the fest was wholly conducted online due to the given circumstances. We had many challenges ahead of us due to lack of physical touch and it was all new to us, despite this, we did this because of the constant support of faculty members and hard work of the office bearers and coordinators who helped in pulling off the task.
We had organised six events in the COMMANTRA'21 which were a mix of fun yet learning events. We have also brought some new ideas this year like corporate roadies. Now it was the time to execute the plans and inaugurate the events. We started all the events at the scheduled time.
CORPORATE ROADIES (11:30 A.M. onwards):- In the event of corporate war whooping 200 registrations were received. We had three different rounds under it and participants loved to take part in this event. Team ARSD, Team Technician Anshu and Team SGGSCC were the winners of this event in order.
FIND-A-THON (12:00 P.M. onwards):- It was an online treasure hunt event competition in which we received around 40 registrations. There were three rounds in it. Team Rana and Team Atrangi Yaari were the winners of the event in order.
INNOVESTMENT (March 4 at 11:30 onwards and March 5 at 11.30 onwards):- The purpose of "INNOVESTMENT” was to provide an opportunity for all the business enthusiasts to showcase their innovative skills and incredible business minds. It was completed in two rounds. Team ARSD and Team Shashank were the winners in the order.
CASEADHYAYAN (12:00 P.M. onwards):- An online case study competition in which the analytical skill of the participants was tested. We received 45 entries for the event. It was finished in two rounds. Shubham Shukla (NSIT), Vansh Gupta & Tanvi Dhingra (Team ARSD) and Sidhi & Manvi (Team Phoenix) were the winners of the event in order.
BING-O-BUZZ (11:00 A.M. onwards):- It was an online commerce themed tambola event in which we received 29 entries. We completed the event in two rounds. Ayushi Upadhyay, Divyangna Chaudhry, Bhavya and Ishika Garg were the winners of the event in order.
BIZ-QUIZ (11:00 A.M. onwards):- It was a business quiz competition which was completed in three rounds. Ritik Aggarwal (Sri Aurobindo College), Kritika Gambhir (IPCW) and Sushant Guglani (Maharaja Agrasen College) were the winners of the event in order.
All the events were wound up at the time and the winners were announced by the judges. All the winners had been rewarded with cash prizes. E-certificates were given to all the participants. The process of each event was very smooth from beginning to end and all events completed on a very successful note. This persevere task has been made possible and we overcame the given challenges. We thank our principal Dr R K Gupta sir, convenor of the Commerce Association Mrs Palvinder Kaur Bakshi ma'am and other faculty members of the department of commerce for their continuous guidance and support throughout the year to the association.
