A talk was organised by the Kautilya Parishad on 26th Feb, 2019 on ' Eco- Fundas'. The speaker was Mr. Amit Poddar, Senior regional Head, T.I.M.E. pvt ltd. The faculty of Economics Department along with the speaker and his team inaugrated the session with the ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony. The speaker spoke eloquently on economic concepts that we often speak and hear about. Concepts like GDP, Inflation, GST, demonetisation, Ease of doing business, monetary aggregates, NPA among others were discussed at length. The speaker made the session very interesting by stating the recent statistics and making comparisons with other countries like China and Venezuela for a better understanding of the students. The use of power point presentation also made many tough concepts very simple. More than 40 students benefited from the talk and enjoyed the session till the end. The session ended with the formal vote of thanks from the Convenor of Kautilya Parishad, Ms. Geeta Ahuja and a group photograph of all present.
