REPORT of
the talk on ‘Impact Of Covid19 On The World Economy With Special Reference To
India’
Kautilya Parishad, the society of the Department of Economics of our
college,organised an online talk on the topic 'Impact Of Covid19 On The
World Economy With Special Reference To India', under the convenorship of Ms
Geeta Ahuja. It was held by the Kautilya Parishad and the T.I.M.E Institute on
27 January,2021 at 2:00 pm. The guest speaker for the session was Mr.Sunil Dua,
who has experience of 25 years in the teaching industry, and is the Regional
Head at T.I.M.E; he has guided students for CAT and other exams.
Mr Dua started the talk with a video on how Covid took the world and all that had
happened. He explained to us clearly how the world was impacted by Covid,how
some countries were less affected as they stopped the entry of people at the
correct time and some were badly affected as they could not take timely steps
and what measures are been taken to overcome this crisis, for instance, the
lockdown,shutting down of schools and colleges, taking frequent positivity
tests and much more. He also talked about how India tackled the situation and
how our economy is coming back on track slowly.
Mr Dua also discussed how the world is taking various measures to tackle the
situation caused by covid and how the vaccine and vaccination is helping in
boosting the economy. After he ended with this, students asked him various
question and he answered them all.
The talk was a very informative and useful one,and everyone got to know a lot
about the Covid19 pandemic and it's effect on the economy and how we have taken
steps to get back to normal.
