The Kautilya Parishad organised a Public Speaking Contest on 6th March, 2019 on the old seminar hall at 2pm. The rules of the contest were simple-
1. The participants had to chose a topic of their choice related to world economy or Indian economy
2. Time limit was 2+1 minutes
3. Both Hindi and English were accepted as the medium
4. Participants were to be marked on both content and presentation
5. The decision of the judges was treated as binding and final.
17 students participated in the contest. The best three participants received certificates and cash prizes of Rs 700, 500, 300 according to their ranks. Two Consolation prizes of Rs 200 each were also given. All the participants received certificates of participation.
The contest provided an excellent platform for the students to improve their skills of speaking in public.
