ZEST
– THE MARKETING AND CONSUMER AWARENESS CLUB
REPORT
With the objective of providing information and
insights in the field of research and trends in marketing, Zest – The Marketing
and Consumer Awareness Club of PGDAV College (Evening) was formed in 2018.In
accordance with this objective the club organised Bizz Pitch – The Business
Plan Competition on 21st January, 2022 at 10:00 AM virtually through
Google meet. The competition was organized with the main objective of providing a meaningful learning
experience to students interested in pursuing an entrepreneurial opportunity at
some point in their careers. The participants had to conceive an idea of a new
service or product offering and create a viable business plan and successfully
pitch it through an appealing presentation.
The event started with a formal welcome note by Dr.
Anita Bajaj, the convenor of the Marketing Club. She briefed the participants
about the moto of the club and major idea behind holding such competitions. The
event started with the explanation of the rules by the hosts. Participants were
given different product lines on which they had to present their unique
business plans.
Participants were then invited to present
their business plans on the allotted product lines. The participants
outperformed the expectations of the audience with their presentations through
PPTs. They explained their proposals with the major focus on the Marketing and
financial projections so as to make a compelling argument for their business
ideas. The winners of the completion were Shashank Pathak and Nikhil Bansal who
presented their ideas on creating an organic beverage and a fungible car
respectively. The event concluded with the valuable feedback of the judges (Dr. Sonika Nagpal and Dr Karishma Saraswat)
and a formal vote of thanks by Hemant Bisht, the student coordinator of Zest.
