Report on
farewell Party 2019
The Department of Commerce of PGDAV College (Eve.) under the Headship of
Dr. Anita Bajaj and convenorship of Mr. Ramesh Kumar, organized a farewell
function for the final year students on April 20th, 2019.The event
started with the lightening of the pious lamp of goddess Sarasvati, followed by
an informative talk on ‘’Cyber Crimes and Security’’ by Mr. Jitendra Narula
from International Institute of Cyber Security.
Later, the competition of Mr. and Ms. Commerce got conducted in which
girls introduced themselves with the sizzling ramp walk followed by the boys.
The next round was the fun round in which girls tied up turban and boys tied up
saari, and the final round was the task round and the winners for the various
titles as well as Mr. and Ms. Commerce were chosen on the basis of collective
scoring of the above three rounds. Besides, a video of the students’ memories in
the college was shown to create an emotional aura.
In the meanwhile, a number of singing, dancing and comical performances
took place to make the function more interesting.
Later, the titles were awarded to the students by commerce faculty
members and refreshment was distributed to all. The function was concluded by
the speech of the Principal, Dr. RK Gupta, wishing all the final year students,
all the best, happiness and successes in their respective future endeavors’.
