CONCLAVE “Two-day Financial Awareness workshop” (Date:7-8 Jan,2023 Platform: Google Meet) The commerce association of PGDAV College (eve) in collaboration with Finshala (The finance society of PGDAV College eve) organized a two-day interactive workshop on Financial Awareness Day-2 of the workshop revolves around the “Understanding the Commodity and Derivative Market, NCDEX.”

 The Speaker invited was Dr. Shikha Gupta. Dr. Shikha Gupta has 14 years of experience in educational sector. Imparted financial literacy to 10000+ students and is empanelled as Security Market trainer of SEBI, NCDEX, NCFE, CDSL, ICAI & PFRDA.

 The total of 70 attendees were present in the session. The event heads for the session were Dhruv Nehru and Yusuf Masroor. The session began with a brief introduction of event by the event head Yusuf Masroor. Dhruv Nehru, a member of our association welcomed and introduced the speaker to the association and the members present in the session. 

The Speaker, Dr. Shikha Gupta, started the session by enlightening the participants about NCDEX and basics of commodity market in India. The speaker gave valuable insights and inputs on the following: - • Objective and features of derivatives • Market participants • Types of hedges • How to trade on community market • Flow of funds • Stake holders and type of investors • Repository ecosystem • Benefit of investing • Do’s and Don't • Investors protection norms • Future and options • Market technology • Exchange traded agriculture commodities. 

 After giving their insightful information on the above topics, Dr. Shikha Gupta addressed various queries and questions from the attendees. The session was concluded by vote of thanks proposed by event head Yusuf Masroor and Dhruv Nehru. Everyone had a great learning experience and is looking forward for more informative workshops.
